Dr Ian Webb is a Consultant Cardiologist at King’s Health Partnership. He is Director of the Cardiac Catheter Labs at King’s College Hospital and an attending Interventional Cardiologist at both King’s, and Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals in London.

Experience

Dr Webb graduated from Oxford University Medical School in 2000, where he was a pre-clinical Academic Scholar and recipient of the Andrew Hopley Memorial prize for Medicine (Corpus Christi College) and the Radcliffe Infirmary Pathology Prize (Oxford University). He additionally awarded an intercalated 1st Class Honours degree in Physiology and Pharmacology. 

He undertook training in Cardiology at King's, Guy's and St Thomas' hospitals in London, with additional sub-speciality Fellowship training in coronary and structural heart intervention at Wellington Hospital, in New Zealand.

Notoriety

Dr Webb specialises in complex coronary disease, from advanced percutaneous revascularisation through to all aspects of intra-coronary imaging and physiology, use of left ventricular support devices and complex coronary intervention using rotablation and Shockwave therapies. 

Dr Webb is a former British Heart Foundation Research Fellow, and undertook his PhD in molecular cardiology with Professor Mike Marber at The Rayne Institute, King's College London.

Current

Dr Webb consults on all aspects of cardiology, including chest pain, breathlessness, palpitations, dizziness, heart failure, valve disease, cardiovascular risk management (blood pressure and cholesterol) and DVLA licensing.
